Harry Potter Fans Get Mad When Train Station Doesn’t Do the Harry Potter Thing

Yet another L for Harry Potter fans.


Harry Potter was once one of the most popular book series for tweens and teens. Today, its popularity has fallen significantly for a litany of reasons.


For example, people are now going back and discovering the books weren’t very good in the first place. Plus, they keep spinning the property off into terrible movies — and that’s not even mentioning the black mold that’s (maybe) driving ol’ Joanne Rowling to spend all day angrily posting on X.


Still, the series has some hangers-on, and every year, they gather at a certain date and time to mark the “departure” of the Hogwarts Express, an occasion that’s marked by an announcement from Network Rail.


While the company said they wouldn’t be doing it this year for operational reasons (having a bunch of children in costume filling a station really makes it difficult to run trains), people gathered nonetheless. You can listen to their disappointed reactions here:
